Empty Mailbox Mondy

Thanks for joining me for Mailbox Monday! MM was created by Marcia at A girl and her books (fka The Printed Page), who graciously hosted it for a long, long time, before turning it into a touring meme (details here).

Passages to the Past is hosting in April. Please visit Amy's entertaining and comprehensive blog devoted to historical fiction.

My mailbox was empty last week.  Not a single book came into my house all week.

Although disappointed, I consider this a blessing.  It is the rare week when I actually pay down some TBR principal and not add to my net TBR debt.

  1. I can relate to being a little relieved sometimes when I don't receive something to read in the mail. Every so often I get bogged down with reading material and that one day is great relief. And then by the next day, I'm excited to see what will arrive.

  2. Sorry to hear you didn't get any books this week but I have a feeling that you're like me and there are already plenty in your home!

  3. Lena Sledge: Yes, I am always excited by a new book, but I seem to bring in more than I finish each week. SO it is nice to get a breather now and again.

notjustreading: You are right! LibraryThing tells me that I have over 1,000 books now on my TBR shelves, so I really could stop the inflow entirely and have enough to read for the next 8 to 10 years!
