Mailbox Monday

My mom was here for a visit and passed on a couple of books she thought I would like, giving me a short Mailbox Monday list.

These are two books that I gave to my sister when she was in culinary school last year. I loaded her up with food and cooking books. She passed them on to our mom when she moved to Bavaria in May. Now Mom is finished with them and they've come full circle.

La Cucina: A Novel of Rapture by Lily Prior

The Food of Love by Anthony Capella

  4. These both sound very good. And I think it's great that both your mom and sister have read them too. You can discuss them together.

  5. Bibliophile By the Sea -- I am going to start with Food of Love. It looks like fun!

ifyoucanreadthis -- The cover is very appealing. I am in the mood for something happy and that is definitely a happy cover.

Staci -- Thanks! And thanks for stopping by.

Mary -- Oh no! That would be a problem.

Beth -- We often pass books around. Sometimes even with Dad involved if they are mysteries. It's fun and gives us something to talk about -- even if it is only, "Now, have I read that one yet? What's it about?"

  9. Holly -- I like food books too. There was a great challenge last year that involved reading food books -- it was the first challenge I completed. I wish she had done it again this year.

Marie -- Me too! See above. :)

Elizabeth -- Thanks for visiting and for leaving your link. I'll stop by. The header picture is a vintage postcard of Portland, The Rose City. I found it on line, one of several of Portland. I love vintage postcards.
