"But it seemed uncanny that Grace had written this note just before I'd determined thank-you notes to be my way out of despair. By thanking me for a Christmas present, she awakened me to something in my life, however small, for which I could be grateful."
-- 365 Thank Yous: The Year a Simple Act of Daily Gratitude Changed My Life by John Kralik.
This is a great little book. I am enjoying it tremendously and am already thinking of notes to write myself. Of course, I am a huge fan of the handwritten note, so he is preaching to the choir.
Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by Should Be Reading, where you can find the official rules for this weekly event.
Thank you for sharing this teaser! I have this book in TBR pile as well. I hope you'll stop by...ReplyDelete
Such a lovely and timely teaser, thank you. My TT: http://www.rundpinne.com/2011/01/teaser-tuesdays-small-wars.htmlReplyDelete
Handwritten thank you notes are such a small thing--but an incredibly touching small thing. I've tried to teach my son to take the time to do these. Great teaser!ReplyDelete

Wonderful teaser and so profound. Thank yous, like a smile, are so simple and so easy to give and their impact is priceless. Too many people don't understand this. I think this book sounds terrific and so worth reading.ReplyDelete
I hope you enjoy your book. Check out what my Tuesday Teaser is.ReplyDelete
Happy Teaser Tuesday!!! My teaser this week is for Mistwood by Leah Cypess which is currently discount on Amazon for only $6.50 for a new hardcover copy!!! I posted a link to the price! Finally, a great fantasy book that really feels like the older fantasy novels written by favorites like Tamora Pierce and Sharon Shinn!ReplyDelete
Perfect teaser, because it tells you a lot about the subject of the book (I think); hopefully most of us have finished our thank you notes for Christmas gifts. :)ReplyDelete
I'm always terrible about actually writing thank you notes; emails and texts are easy and instant. But handwritten notes do convey so much more...maybe reading this book will convince me to do it more!ReplyDelete

I'm a definite believer in daily gratitude. It really changes your mindset when you focus on the positive and the blessings in your life rather than the things you lack.ReplyDelete
Very interesting! I would love to read this one. I'll have to find it.ReplyDelete
I love writing notes! Thank you notes are so very very important in life.ReplyDelete
