Little Spinoza's head flew up and the horse plunged forward into the small party gathering at the winner's circle. A woman screamed and another in a black picture hat sat down in the dirt.

Loved that teaser! Sounds good to me.
ReplyDeleteHere is my Teaser Tuesday: Dead Head by Rosemary Harris
one of my friends just posted a raving review of this on Goodreads - I can't wait to hear if you loved it too. It might be going on my TBR list!
ReplyDeleteWell, that's intriguing.
ReplyDeleteMy teaser is from Major Pettigrew's Last Stand, such a terrific book.
A very intriguing teaser! It might be a funny scene or maybe a scary one, I'm not sure which, but my interest is definitely piqued! I have heard great things about this book, I hope you're enjoying it!

Thanks for the comments. I'll come by and visit all your teasers.
ReplyDeleteHappy Teaser Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteMy teaser this week is for:
Forget-Her-Nots by Amy Brecount White which is on sale right not for only 5.19 on Amazon for new hardback!!!! I figure I should spread the word since it is such a popular YA book and the author is so nice. I have the link up if you want to check it out!
Sincerely,
Emma Michaels

Loved the teaser and love horse racing stories. We have a couple of good racing thriller writers, here in the UK (Dick Francis, John Francome, Jenny Pitman and Mark Daniels), but I would be intrigued to read something by a US author, as a comparison. I may give this one a try.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommend,
Yvonne
That's a great teaser...you keep reading books that are on my TBR list for the future. I'm still waiting (impatiently) for the library hold gods to decide it's my turn for this one.

Hello, new to your blog; I don't follow lists quite as much as you seem to, but it is hard to pass up a good list of award winners! Your book sounds very good, I hope you're enjoying it.

ReplyDeleteI've had trouble getting into this one when I've tried, but everyone I know who's finished it loved it. I'll look forward to your review!
