Mailbox Monday

Thanks to Reading Local, I had a little book money in my jeans this weekend, so stopped by Broadway Books in time to pick up a little something for Mailbox Monday.

I got the two Nick Hornby books I want to read for the Bibliophilic Books Challenge.  I got a big kick out of The Polysyllabic Spree (reviewed here) and am really looking forward to reading the other two.

Shakespeare Wrote for Money by Nick Hornby

I also found a used copy of It All Adds Up, a collection of non-fiction pieces by Saul Bellow.

  1. I really liked "High Fidelity" by Nick Hornby. How do his other books stack up against that one?

  5. SocrMom -- I loved High Fidelity (as discussed here. Polysyllabic Spree (reviewed here) and the two listed in this post are non-fiction. All are reprints of his magazine column about buying and reading books. Very funny.

Alayne -- thanks for the link. I'll head right over.

Bermuda -- I will! I want to dive right in, but there are a few higher up my TBR stack that I have to get to first.

Marie -- Thanks! I need to play with my new MM picture, because I can't figure out how to make the dots inside the letters not be white. I'm learning as I go here . . .
