MY BOOK BEGINNING

"David Crimond is here in a kilt!"
-- The Book and the Brotherhood by Iris Murdoch.  Years earlier, a group of young, liberal university students had pooled their money to fund Crimond's writing of a book on their political philosophy.  The book never materialized and the brotherhood never came to much.

  1. The 'Years earlier' opener has certainly been done a few times before, but it is a good way to immediately add intrigue... Enjoy!

  2. I'll be curious to see how you fo with Iris Murdoch - she seems to encourage a love or hate relationship.

  6. Wearing a kilt is always a good beginning, as well as an excellent fashion statement :)

  7. Joanne: It takes a while to figure out that they have known each other for so long. For the first long chapter, all you know is that they are at a big party together, but not why.

Brona Joy: I fall in the "love" category when it comes to IM. I love her books!

    Kasumi: Thanks for playing along!

Mommy: Short, but funny, since it involves a kilt.

Laurel-Rain: It gets curiouser and curiouser!

    Rowen: Complicated! It is Murdoch!

    WS: I concur!
